Had a annoying sound coming from the right front area of our car. Brought our vehicle in , test drove with the mechanic for clarification. The mechanic was very thorough and located the issue with the calliper. Problem was fixed within a good timeframe. They even washed the car! Old time service.

I called mcphail fir a 2nd opinion on a noise in my jeep...when I got there i was greeted by Christine and the receptionist with a smile and they made me feel welcome right away. Scott came with me fir a drive to listen to the rattle and also spoke with me about my concerns. After the inspection Christine sat with me explained everything throughly any concerns I had were dealt with immediately, I mention i couldn't be off wirk long and she offered a loaner vechile so I didn't need to miss work. I am beyond happy woth tje service and communication I received through the process. Definitely found my new mechanic from on. Absolute five-star service from McPhail Auto! Service and communication is excellent -- I received a comprehensive report on my car's issues complete with photographs, and throughout the time it took for repairs I received constant updates by e-mail or text. I greatly appreciated the courtesy car provided as I work out of town in a location that can't be reached by public transit. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about McPhail Auto. They've got a new customer for life.

I used McPhails last week (November 26, 2024) and was very happy with their service. Within a very reasonable time after drop off, we got a text with their findings and recommendations and they included pictures for clarity. This gave us time to investigate what these items were and how much they should cost. We called them and gave them the go-ahead. The car was ready on time and we drove it from Ontario to Nova Scotia the next day issue-free. I should also mention while we were there an older lady came in without an appointment, and she was a little difficult. The service manager was so kind to her that I’d recommend them based on the kindness alone. It’s a bonus that they also do great work.

I have used McPhail’s for years after a recommendation from my friends dad. They were always amazing. New owners took over some years ago and the service has never changed. Took my car in that has been sitting for a couple months and there were a bunch of issues that needed done. I dropped it off and left the keys in the box on Sunday then left them a message about the surprise car sitting in their lot when they got back on Monday. Scott Jr. was amazing. Professional, kind, and easy to deal with. They started working on the 6 hour job after getting all the parts. I was told it would be ready around noon the next day. I got a call a 8am saying it was done. The mechanic came in early to finish it for me. I remembered after the fact that I had taillights out and a front light before I stopped driving it. I called back and they took it in again immediately and everything will still be done by 8:30. Honestly, as a women you hear about shops taking advantage of that fact and I 100% never felt that that was happening. I truly trust this shop and will always recommend them to anyone needing service. Thank you guys, keep up the amazing work!

Incredibly trustworthy, which is exactly what you want in an auto shop. I ended up needing my alternator and back brakes replaced. They take the time to explain everything in detail. They do not gouge you for things you don't really need. They also send an entire thorough breakdown of your vehicle via text, flagging things that could potentially become an issue, and what needs to be addressed asap. I would recommend this shop to anyone 1000 times over!!!!!
